NEW YORK, June 8 (FintechZoom): Tuesday in green for the US market. All major indices went up, pushed from a positive day for the majority of the stocks, and pulled up from energy. The S&P fell 0.9%, NASDAQ slipped 0.73%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average down by 0.81%.
A mixed day for the tech stocks which were uncertain about the trend to follow and then some closed in the green while others lost a few points. In details stocks from the the tech sector performance was: Microsoft and Meta, respectively -0.77% and +0.51%: Amazon (-1.48%), Snap (-0.72%), and Netflix (+2.12%), Google (+0.01%), Paypal (-1.22%) and Twitter +0.77%, Apple -0.47%.
Chipset producers AMD and NVIDIA respectively went down by -3.21% and -1.45%.
Smart mobility has Lyft that signed a +2.44% and Uber Technologies went up by +2.09% for the third day in a row.
The energy sector was down this Wednesday. In brief the energy sector: BP reported a -0.20% Baker Hughes (-0.45%), APA(-0.43%), Devon Energy Corporation (-0.14%) Schlumberger NV (+1.31%), Halliburton (+1.03%).
The financial services sector instead closed in the red: Signature Bank and Citigroup closed respectively at -1.06% and -1.32%. All the others followed this downward trend: Visa (-0.47%) and American Express (-1.62%), JPMorgan Chase (-1.59%), Morgan Stanley (-2.50%), Goldman Sachs -2.12%.
Finally, this Wednesday, airlines have lost a few percentage points, with interesting price fluctuation: Boeing lost -0.85%, United Airlines up (-3.98%), Alaska Air Group (-2.47%), and American Airlines (-3.24%).
