The week started in green for the US market. All major indices went up, pushed from a positive day for the majority of the stocks. The S&P surged 0.3%, NASDAQ gained +0.4%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average up by +0.05%.
A general positive day for the tech stocks. In details stocks from the the tech sector performed well: Microsoft and Meta, respectively -0.47% and +1.82%: Amazon (+1.99%), Snap (+4.55%), and Netflix (-0.92%), Google (+2.14%), Paypal (+0.32%) and Twitter -1.49%, Apple +0.52%.
Chipset producers AMD and NVIDIA respectively went down by -0.61% and up by +0.35%.
The smart mobility sector is trying to cut losses, stacked from LYFT which is still struggling. Specifically: Lyft signed a -1.38% and Uber Technologies went up by +2.40%.
The energy sector was uncertain this Monday about the direction to follow with some of the stocks in the green while others in red. In brief the energy sector: BP reported a +0.36% Baker Hughes (-0.37%), APA(+0.52%), Devon Energy Corporation (+0.04%) Schlumberger NV (-0.53%), Halliburton (-1.50%).
An unstable financial services sector saw the stocks closing the day mainly up: Signature Bank and Citigroup closed respectively at +2.44% and +0.14%. All the others followed this upward trend: Visa (+0.14%) and American Express (+0.11%), JPMorgan Chase (-0.33%), Morgan Stanley (+0.89%), Goldman Sachs +0.57%.
During this Monday session, airlines have been quite timid, without great spikes: Boeing lost -0.01%, United Airlines up (+0.74%), Alaska Air Group (-0.06%), and American Airlines (+0.49%).
