NEW YORK, June 7 (FintechZoom) – Tuesday in green for the US market. All major indices went up, pushed from a positive day for the majority of the stocks, and pulled up from energy. The S&P surged 0.9%, NASDAQ gained +0.94%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average up by +0.80%.
A general positive day for the tech stocks which were timid in the first half of the day and then closed in green. In details stocks from the the tech sector performed well: Microsoft and Meta, respectively +1.40% and +0.72%: Amazon (-1.43%), Snap (+0.86%), and Netflix (+0.75%), Google (+0.19%), Paypal (+2.05%) and Twitter +1.44%, Apple +1.76%.
Chipset producers AMD and NVIDIA respectively went down by -0.35% and up by +0.75%.
Smart mobility has Lyft that signed a +0.29% and Uber Technologies went up by +2.30% for the second day in a row.
The energy sector was mainly positive this Tuesday and thanks to its strength brought the market up. In brief the energy sector: BP reported a +3.29% Baker Hughes (-0.05%), APA(+5.85%), Devon Energy Corporation (+1.28%) Schlumberger NV (+3.62%), Halliburton (+2.93%).
The financial services sector instead closed in positive thanks to the muscle flex of the biggest groups: Signature Bank and Citigroup closed respectively at +1.15% and +1.36%. All the others followed this upward trend: Visa (+0.73%) and American Express (+1%), JPMorgan Chase (+0.26%), Morgan Stanley (+0.54%), Goldman Sachs +0.31%.
Finally, this Tuesday, airlines have been again in green, with interesting price fluctuation: Boeing lost +1.13%, United Airlines up (+3.78%), Alaska Air Group (+0.98%), and American Airlines (+2.39%).
